APRIL!

Well, I guess I am getting in the habit of only updating this twice a month. April went by even faster than March for me. Not too much happened, except....MY BIRTHDAY!
I turned 26 on April 17. Eh, nothing TOO exciting about turning 26. To celebrate, I had a lia sophia party at my house and hung out with my girls afterwards just catching up and laughing.
On my birthday Barry and I went to dinner with my parents and walked around city center. It was a good weekend.

MARCH!

I can't believe how fast time is flying by. March was a very busy month for Barry & I and we had a lot of ups and downs this month. We also celebrated our 6 month anniversary on March 19! It's amazing to think we're half way to 1 year and it feels like we just got married. I can't wait for the rest of our lives together!

Here's some of the things that we did in March:

Barry's birthday was March 5 and to celebrate we used our FREE Disneyland vouchers we got for volunteering for the "Give a day, Get a Disney day" program. Here are some pics:

This trip was a BLAST! We love Disneyland so much and would like to go every other year if possible.

ACCIDENT!

Not a week later back from our trip I was involved in an accident on my way to work on Town Center and Banburry Cross. As I was entering the round-a-about and continuing to go straight the van in front of me was trying to go left (which he is not allowed to do in the lane we were in.) So as he was trying to turn left, the car next to us was trying to go straight and this almost created a collision between the two cars so the van in front of me STOPPED! I then hit him in the back :( I was a bit shaken up but more upset because if the van in front of me knew how to drive on the round-a-bout this wouldn't have happened.

Anyway, long story short, I was ticketed for driving too close to the van and my car was towed to a repair center.
The insurance counted my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder as a total loss and I was devastated. They gave me $3,800 for it, but that wasn't enough to compensate for my emotional loss of course.
ICYBLUE(the name of my car)was my first car I bought on my own. Paid off and I owned the title. I had the car for 6 years and 5 months and it never treated me bad. The thought of getting a new car made me sad because to this day I never had any dislikes about my car. Anyways, I can't quite describe the attachment I had to my car but it was strong.
So, we were forced to find another car, but something inexpensive because we couldn't afford another car payment.

NEW CAR!

My WONDERFUL parents let me borrow their car for a week while I was without a vehicle which I was SO grateful for. During that time we looked on Craiglists for Nissan's because I am partial to the Nissan now. We found someone who was selling a 2001 Nissan Xterra for $7,900 with 69,000 miles so Barry gave the guy a call and a day later the whole family went to take a look. The SUV was in good condition mith some minor dents and scrapes on the outside, but other than that it had great mileage and ran good. We came to an agreement and we paid $7,000. We put the money from the insurance down and financed the rest through our bank so we will have the car paid off in 2 years! Here is a picture:

The funny thing is there is a "Keep abortion legal" sticker on the back so it's a sign that I was supposed to have this car...so it can be redeemed!

That's about it for March. Hope you enjoyed my little bloggity blog on my drama filled life. More to come later.

Is it already March?

I can't believe how much time is flying by. Barry & I have been married 5 months now! It's been the best 5 months of my life! I love married life and I love living with him in our beautiful home. Life is blissful.

Barry's 26th birthday is coming up next week and we have planned a trip to Southern California to celebrate. I have some surprises up my sleeve that I can't wait for. We are leaving Vegas Thursday morning, checking in our hotel room then going to Downtown Disney to browse and eat dinner.
Then it's off to Disneyland on Friday! We did the "Give a day, get a disney day" program and got two FREE tickets!
Captain EO is going to be open after years! And Barry's never seen it. We have a blast when we take trips together. Here are some pictures of the last time we visited "The Happiest Place on Earth"

Then on Saturday, we can't WAIT to go see "Alice In Wonderland!"
If you haven't seen the previews, here's a trailer:

So excited for that! I love Tim Burton & Alice in Wonderland is my 2nd fav Disney movie! We are going to have a blast next week! I'll post pix when we get back!
